Akiko Fujii

Akiko was born in Hiroshima, Japan. She attended Gifu Pharmaceutical University where she studied to be a pharmacist. She worked with Dr. Hironao Sajiki’s lab and graduated in 2022. She got interested in organic chemistry, so she went on to graduate student course. She wanted to become a professional pharmaceutical scientist. She got Gifu Pharmaceutical University SPRING Scholarship Awardee and came to the White group as a visiting scholar.

 

Fun Facts​

• Akiko loves basketball under the influence of her older brother. Her favorite NBA team is the Los Angeles Lakers.                                                                                                                 

• Akiko likes Japanese comics, especially NARUTO and BLEACH.                                              

• Akiko used to work part-time in Starbucks for six years. If anyone needs to brew coffee, please ask her!
