Charlie Dixon

B.S. Chemistry, University of South Carolina-Upstate, 2019

Charlie was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina Upstate where he got his BS in Chemistry. During his time in undergrad, he worked under Professor Joshua Ruppel on the synthesis and evaluation of porphyrin glycoconjugates. Following graduation, he moved to Champaign in the summer of 2019 to start his graduate career. That fall, he joined the White Lab to begin working on his PhD.
