Sven Kaster

B.S. Chemistry, Oakland University, 2017

Sven was born in the greatest state in the country, Michigan, and after a short hiatus in Germany, resided there for the majority of his life. He studied chemistry at Oakland University in the Kerrigan Group, and was drawn to UIUC by his love of corn and C-H activation. In 2017 He began his graduate studies in the White Group working on Palladium catalyzed C-H activation. Outside of lab he enjoys looking at corn, buying corn at Costco, and playing basketball in the corn fields.
