Henry Cavanaugh

B.S. Chemistry, College of the Holy Cross, 2023
 

Henry grew up in Natick, Massachusetts and received his bachelor's in chemistry from a small liberal arts college only about 30 minutes from his hometown. As an undergraduate, he studied atypical stereoelectronic interactions under the guidance of Professor Brian R. Linton. Then, as a rising senior, he was offered the chance to spend a summer working in the White Lab as a Synder Scholar. After this incredibly positive experience, Henry decided to return to UIUC to become a full and formal member of the group.

Fun Facts

• I am red-green colorblind, which I found out as a child after telling my parents that I like that our house was "purple" (it's blue).

• I have 31 first cousins.

• I really enjoy playing basketball and watching the NBA & NFL.
