Rachel Chambers

B.S. Chemistry, University of Wollongong, 2016

Rachel grew up in Wollongong, Australia. She studied an International Bachelor of Science at the University of Wollongong, graduating with First Class Honours under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Pyne. During her undergraduate studies, she studied abroad at the University of Colorado Boulder where she worked in the Sammakia research group. After graduation, Rachel moved to Melbourne, Australia where she worked at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute on the development of new anti-malaria drugs. In 2016, Rachel moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she joined the White group to conduct research on late stage aminations and oxidations.

Fun Facts

  • Rachel loves being outdoors; trail running and hiking are her favorite weekend activities.
