Seth Klaine

M.S. Chemistry, Western Kentucky University, 2021

Seth was born and raised in Bowling Green, KY. As a Hilltopper at Western Kentucky University, he obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biology as well as a master’s in Chemistry. Seth was a member of Prof. Rui Zhang’s group, studying the mechanistic underpinnings of high-valent metal oxo intermediates bearing porphyrin and salen ligands. Upon graduating in 2021, Seth moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to investigate C-H aminations under the guidance of Prof. Christina White.
